Chinese New Year celebrations at London Square

Traditional lion dancers entertained potential buyers at the Chinese New Year celebrations at London Square Bermondsey. An expert in Chinese calligraphy demonstrated the exquisite skills involved in the art while guests enjoyed cocktails and Chinese-themed canapés in the stylish sales suite and took the opportunity to explore the range of show homes by interior designers Honky, Suna and Dapa.

London Square Bermondsey is set to be the new heart and soul of SE1. The first phase of the £220m regeneration, The Tannery, is designed by Coffey Architects. This comprises a striking new building, and the restoration and conversion of the original Tannery building, which dates from the 1920s and is a fine example of industrial architecture. The site was also the home of a Crosse & Blackwell factory.

London Square Bermondsey is the showcase scheme in a major regeneration plan for the area, set to bring thousands of new homes, schools, jobs, parks, public areas and two new tube stations for the Bakerloo Line extension. Bermondsey Street is close by, where fashionable bars, restaurants, the iconic White Cube art gallery, the Fashion and Textile Museum, and independent shops can be found in spectacular, restored former industrial buildings. Bermondsey has excellent transport links by tube, national rail, bus and bike.

Chinese New Year celebrations also took place at London Square Caledonian Road, a collection of stylish apartments within walking distance of King’s Cross, with street food traders The Rice Guys serving delicious hot food. London Square Spitalfields also joined in the festivities with lucky red envelopes for potential buyers touring the new show apartment at the collection of one, two and three bedroom homes at the boutique development in E1. Red lanterns and Chinese-themed cocktails and food greeted visitors to the sales suite and show homes at London Square Staines Upon Thames, a collection of apartments in the heart of the town - just 35 minutes to Waterloo.
