London Square delivers interactive workshop on building site Health & Safety

31st May 2016

Award-winning residential developer London Square visited 30 pupils from Year Three at Streatham Wells Primary School on Wednesday (25 May) to deliver an interactive workshop on building site Health & Safety. The school is just under a mile from London Square Streatham Hill, an exciting new development on Streatham High Road*.

The pupils, aged seven to eight, received a Health & Safety induction and were given high visibility jackets and hard hats to wear for the session and to keep as a souvenir of the day. The London Square construction team taught the children about the hazards they should look out for around heavy machinery, assisted by construction industry mascot, Ivor Goodsite.

Martyn Fennell, Project Manager at London Square Streatham Hill, said: “Site safety is of paramount importance to us at London Square and it is crucial that children living and going to school near building sites are aware of the hazards from a young age. London Square works closely with local schools across all sites and it is always a pleasure to engage with the next generation of the local community in which we are working.”

Louise Salewski, Headteacher at Streatham Wells Primary School, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were delighted to be involved.”

London Square is transforming the site on Streatham High Road into 213 one, two and three bedroom high specification apartments, offering a tranquil oasis in this popular enclave of south London.

Sales will be launching in July 2016. To receive exclusive pre-launch information for London Square Streatham Hill, please call 0333 666 2131.
