Leading residential developer London Square has appointed Mark Evans as Chief Operating Officer as the company embarks on a strategic expansion.
Mark Evans will join London Square from Shanly Homes where he is Residential Managing Director, as the company implements its growth plans to deliver a £2bn pipeline and build 1,000 homes a year, by forging partnerships with housing associations and local authorities, while also maximising the commercial potential across all sites.
Reporting to London Square Chief Executive Adam Lawrence, Mark will play a key role in the development and delivery of future strategy. He will work with the senior management team and be responsible for all areas of production, delivery and sales.
With more than 25 years’ wide-ranging experience in the property industry, Mark began his career as a quantity surveyor before moving into project management and operations. He has an impressive track record, with partner and director level roles at Turner & Townsend and Berkeley Homes before joining Shanly Homes as a regional MD in 2006 and progressing to Residential Managing Director.

London Square is currently developing 15 first-class sites within Greater London, including its recently launched new neighbourhood in Bermondsey, delivering homes, flexible workspaces, contemporary art studios and gallery space. The company announced a drive earlier this year to forge new partnerships with housing associations, local authorities and government agencies.
The company delivered an impressive set of annual results, ended 31st March 2018, with 490 homes completed and sales of £287.5m – a 45 per cent year on year growth.
