Residential developer London Square and local agents Robert Holmes are co-sponsoring two concerts at the fourth International Wimbledon Music Festival - a celebration of the finest world-class musicians.
The Festival, which is taking place from 10 – 25 November, will offer both seasoned and curious music lovers the chance to hear great musicians in beautiful local venues. Since its launch in 2009, Wimbledon Music Festival has forged links with festivals internationally, resulting in artistic collaboration whereby musicians travel to Wimbledon from all over the world to play at the event.
Both of the concerts supported by London Square and Robert Holmes will take place on the evening of Friday 23 November. The Chapel at Wimbledon College will play host to Spanish guitarist Xuefei Yang, who will be performing works by Granados, Albeniz and Tarrega in her Festival debut. The concert will begin at 7.30 pm and tickets cost between £15 - £25.
Later that evening at 9 pm, The Sacred Heart Church on Edge Hill will set the stage for Homage to Django Reinhardt by renowned Gypsy performers Fapy Lafertin and Tcha Limberger, accompanied by celebrated American jazz clarinet player, Bob Wilber. Tickets cost £28 including welcome drinks and canapés.
The International Wimbledon Music Festival is taking place in a number of churches, schools, theatres and historic locations in the local Wimbledon community – nearby to London Square’s exclusive collection of ten luxuriously appointed homes set in landscaped grounds on the corner of Ridgeway and Edge Hill.
