Corporate Citizenship & Environment
Wherever the location of a London Square development is, we strive to be a central pillar of the local community. Our aim is to support charities, promote small businesses and engage closely with schools, colleges and organisations that support local people to find meaningful employment.
In partnership with Peabody at Holloway Park, London Square host training for local people in Green Skills retrofit, supporting the transition to a career in the construction industry, This initiative has enabled over 50 people to gain accredited qualifications.
Career fairs help to prepare jobseekers for a long-term employment position and display our keen attitude towards local residents obtaining roles on our sites. The Social Value and Community team attended a variety of these throughout 2024 across the London boroughs, with some highlights including the Women in Construction Event at the Brent Civic Centre and the Barnet and Southgate College Employment and Skills Event.
Looking ahead to 2025, London Square are excited to be partnering with the Harlequins Foundation, who are dedicated to delivering opportunities that inspire, educate and equip individuals to achieve their potential, learn transferable skills and enhance their natural abilities.
