On Saturday 23 January, award winning developer London Square opened Teddington’s newest residential square, Noel Square, named in recognition of the development’s proximity to the childhood home of renowned playwright and musician Noël Coward. The centrepiece of the London Square Teddington development, Noel Square was transformed into a pop-up artisan Italian food market, with local retailers including Valentina Fine Foods, Shambles and La Casa Del Habano offering free delicacies to attendees. Stephen Greenman, chairman of the Noël Coward Society, officially opened the square at 1pm. Over 180 people attended the event, which also provided the opportunity to explore four open houses on display, with interiors by Suna Interior Design and David Phillips. The 18 houses arranged around the square benefit from direct access onto the central landscaped gardens, offering family buyers peace of mind that children can play safely outdoors, away from any traffic. The secure underground car park allows for the square to remain purely for play, relaxation and socialising with neighbours. Stephen Greenman, chairman of the Noël Coward Society, commented: “We are delighted that London Square has chosen to honour Noël Coward in the naming of the new square and it was a pleasure to officially open such an attractive and well-presented new development. With Noël’s childhood home situated on the same road as the new square, his legacy in Teddington will continue.” Rebecca Littler, Sales & Marketing Director of London Square, said: “The opening of Noel Square was a huge success, with extremely positive feedback from those who attended on the day. We are delighted to have been able to share this exciting moment with both the immediate local community and those who had travelled from further afield.” Remaining four bedroom houses start from £1,225,000, with four showhomes open daily showcasing the different house types.
