Henry and his partner Hannah bought their first home together at London Square Walton On Thames and have discovered a new lifestyle on their doorstep.
The couple, who are both teachers in Surrey, had previously been living at their family homes. During the summer of 2021, they decided they would like to move in together and make use of the government’s Help to Buy Scheme to purchase their first home. They moved in at the beginning of 2022 into a one bedroom apartment in a stylish building set in over five acres of grounds, with mature trees, shrubs and landscaped areas, part of a collection of Arts and Crafts style houses and apartments at the new neighbourhood in Stompond Lane, Walton-on-Thames.
“We were so impressed with the floorplans of the apartment, and we designed and viewed these in 3D using an App. We were able to play around with different colours and sizes of furniture so that we could buy the large items for our flat before moving in, and be confident that they would fit and look good and the finishings would be perfect – and they are. The layout of the kitchen is particularly spacious and homely.
“We are also finding that the flat is extremely economical to run, as our gas, electricity and water bills have been very reasonable, which is of course a big bonus in the current climate. This is down to the appliances and insulation provided by London Square.”
“As our jobs and families are based in Surrey, we wanted to stay in the Elmbridge area. We had an open mind about whether we would like a new build or an older property. The deciding factor was the location and the reputation of London Square, as we knew that the flat would be of superb quality. The reviews for London Square gave us great confidence to buy off plan. The sales team were extremely helpful and the purchase went through smoothly.”

"The Walton on Thames neighbourhood is extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. Having the train station just a 10 minute walk away, with a fast train into London is brilliant and so we regularly have day trips to London. The walk along the river is always a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and we are big fans of the Walton Village pub in the town centre. We have both joined Walton Tennis Club next door. I play in the competitive box leagues which I am finding really exciting and enjoyable.”
Henry and Hannah have also got to know their neighbours at the development.
"Everyone is really friendly and we keep in touch with one another on our community group chat. It was lovely to meet some of our current and future neighbours when London Square provided a big screen in the communal grounds to watch the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
We couldn’t be happier living her and would definitely recommend London Square to anyone looking to move home to a new development."
