Your autumnal home

Your autumnal home

With autumn now here, why not try your hand at styling your home to reflect the much-loved and cosy season…

Natural materials and finishes
With the vibrant tones of seasonal change all around us, why not incorporate more nature into your home.
Dried flowers are the perfect accent to any living space, with a nod to nature on your sideboards, mantelpieces, and dining tables. We recommend plants with autumnal shades, such as orange, red and yellow, and a range of textures from the softer pampas grasses to flowers such as yarrow and safflower.

Blending neutral tones with vibrant accents
The minimal, neutral palette is the current interior design trend, yet autumn's instantly identifiable colour scheme allows for more creativity. This warm palette is timeless and creates a cosy atmosphere for any new home. Colour theorists from Armadillo recommend using these hues to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
We recommend blending neutral colours with vibrant accents. Why not try adding statement cushions, coffee table books or ceramic decorations to your space to best mix these two schemes. You can add as much or as little colour as you like, creating key focal points within any room.

Leather is back
One design trend on the rise and in time for the colder seasons is leather. Although not a material that first springs to mind, given the current craze of white and cream minimalism, designers predict that mid-century styling and a brown, earthy palette is the next trend hurtling toward us.
Get ahead of the curve by incorporating this material into your styling - whether bigger pieces such as sofas and chairs, or detailed accent in frames, cushions, and lamps. As House Beautiful has called it: the 70s revival is in full swing.

Vintage furnishings
The autumnal palette is one which will stand the test of time; for so many homeowners, rich, earthy tones are the hallmark for this seasonal change. Why not consider vintage pieces to create a luxurious feel to your space?
Trend spotters and setters tell us that recycling pre-loved antiques and stunning one-of-a-kind pieces is the ultimate expression of personality when it comes to the home. We recommend taking a trip to 167 Bermondsey, just a short walk from London Square Bermondsey, to peruse some stunning finds.
