On Monday 12 December, twenty eight children from the Chigwell Primary Academy Choir gathered around the Christmas tree at London Square Chigwell Village, the area’s most exciting new housing development, for an afternoon of carol singing and festivities. Joined by teachers, members of the local community and staff from developer London Square, the Choir sang carols such as “Away in a Manger”, “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells” against the backdrop of the development which is set amongst 12 acres of leafy grounds. The children also sang inside the Sales Suite, where a model of the scheme and stunning show home gives prospective buyers a chance to see how the development will look when complete. Minced pies and mulled wine were also served. Elaine Brook, Executive Headteacher at Chigwell Primary Academy, said: “The children had a lovely time singing around the Christmas tree – it was a really enjoyable afternoon for all involved and also a good chance to have a look at the progress that is taking place here. We were delighted to be approached by London Square for this opportunity as it gave the children a chance to sing to a new audience in different surroundings. We look forward to doing more with them in future.” London Square Chigwell Village comprises 43 stunning new high specification homes in total, ranging from four to five bedrooms and offering nine different designs to suit varying requirements and life styles. Residents of the development are within walking distance of the cosmopolitan amenities of Chigwell, while transport connections into central London are excellent.
