Residents of London Square Eastcote, an exclusive new gated development of stylish homes in the heart of this vibrant corner of north-west London, have moved into the first completed homes.
Almost half of the households are now living in their new homes with the remainder expected to move in March. The mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments launched just 11 months ago, and buyers have been impressed by the scheme’s location in a landscaped setting – just 300 metres from Eastcote underground station – and the high specification of the homes.
Rebecca Littler, Sales and Marketing Director of London Square, comments: “Sales at London Square Eastcote exceeded our expectations. A combination of demand for new homes in the capital this year, coupled with its well-connected location just 30 minutes from central London, has made the development a very attractive purchase for young professionals or downsizers looking to have great amenities on their doorstep. Having our first residents move into London Square Eastcote is great to see – the development is really taking shape as a vibrant and exciting new community.”
As the community at London Square Eastcote starts to develop, the first residents to move in have spoken of their hopes for the future.
Rod Smith, 47, who works for Hillingdon Council, and his wife Jacqui Smith, 59, who works as an occupational therapist at Buckinghamshire Health Service, are some of the first to move in. With their children having flown the nest, they decided to downsize to a smart lock-up-and-leave style property at London Square Eastcote, from their older style family home of 20 years with a large garden.
Jacqui comments: “We are so excited for our new way of life. I can’t wait to spend more time on hobbies, going out for dinner and socialising with our friends. Our move is mainly driven by wanting a new lifestyle but also to free up some capital so that we can take the opportunity to travel. Also, the large terrace at our new apartment means that I am not totally giving up gardening, but I can have the best of both worlds with a few plant pots and none of the hassle. Eastcote is a lovely place to live with all the local amenities we need, including a doctors surgery, pub and restaurants. We are also close to Northwood Hills and Harrow. We do spend quite a bit of time in central London, so the underground lines from Eastcote will definitely come in handy.”
Rod was also interested in the strong eco-credentials of the scheme. He comments: “As a former surveyor, the build quality and strong green ethic of the development was very attractive. We are looking forward to a home that will require little maintenance.”
London Square is building homes across the capital, with other developments in prime areas including a residential square of 40 new townhouses in Fulham and 113 new apartments in Putney. Each scheme is bespoke, with inspiring architecture, clever design and first-class specification, revitalising the local area. This year, London Square will also be launching new developments in Teddington, Richmond, Hayes and Streatham.
