Award-winning developer London Square has received glowing feedback from Hayes Primary School, following a recent site visit to London Square Hayes, BR2, situated on West Common Road. London Square hosted 15 pupils from Years Three and Four at Hayes Primary School for a site visit on Friday 9 October. The pupils, aged seven to nine, received a Health & Safety induction and donned high visibility jackets, hard hats, gloves and goggles (which they got to keep) before they set foot on the building site to see the dramatic transformation taking place behind the development’s hoarding. The London Square construction team, assisted by Ivor Goodsite, the Considerate Constructors mascot, taught the children about the hazards they should look out for around heavy machinery and there was even a chance for the pupils to have a go at building their own mini brick wall. The children also got to explore the finished product by viewing the stunning showhouse - which they all wanted to live in! Liz Hughes, Assistant Headteacher at Hayes Primary School, said:
"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for our visit on Friday. The children had such an amazing time and couldn’t stop talking about their morning. They loved every part of it and were thrilled to leave with their hard hats and high vis jackets. Please pass on my thanks to the whole team at the site for giving the children such a fantastic opportunity."
London Square is transforming the site on West Common Road, the centerpiece of which is a historic Grade II listed private country house, which is being converted into a smart collection of eight apartments. There will also be 15 contemporary newbuild houses. Apartment prices start at £550,000, with prices for the houses starting at £1,025,000.
