London Square Nine Elms has scooped the top accolade for the best flat at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.
The 33rd annual awards took place in a glittering ceremony at the Dorchester on Park Lane with comedian Hugh Dennis hosting the event in front of an audience from across the property industry. The Standard’s CEO Paul Kanareck presented the awards.
Beating fierce competition, London Square Nine Elms won the best flat in a development over 100 residences for apartment 201, a three bedroom show home by leading interior designer Honky.
The judges commented: “This is an apartment in a development at the height of one of central London’s most exciting regeneration zones, with fantastic views along the River Thames. It is an apartment with a real sense of quality running through it. Excellent space planning and attention to detail. Pride is evident in this development as demonstrated by a strong identity and sense of place.”
Honky curated a range of bespoke and antique pieces in elm in their design scheme as a nod to the nine elms growing on the south bank of the Thames, which gives the area its name.
Tim Gawthorn, Group Sales and Marketing Director, London Square, said: “This is an outstanding win for London Square Nine Elms and our superb show home by Honky. We were thrilled by the judges’ comments, which capture the very essence of the development.”
