School children from Darrick Wood Junior School will continue to be able to cross the road to school with the help of school crossing patrol lollipop lady Pat Saunders - following a donation from developer London Square.
The school appealed for help to pay for the service, which they now have to fund themselves following council cuts. London Square is building a collection of family homes and apartments in six acres of grounds in Broadwater Gardens, a short walk from the school. A number of families with children at the highly rated school, or who are keen to send their children there, have bought new homes.
We are proud to work with Darrick Wood Junior School. They are at the heart of the local community and the school crossing patrol provides such vital support for local parents and children.
Our pupils and parents rely on our school crossing patrol, Pat Saunders, every morning and afternoon and we are delighted to have the support of London Square to help fund the service.
