On Saturday 28 November, award-winning house builder London Square organised a trip to the capital’s annual festive celebration, Winter Wonderland, for 50 children. The children aged 5 to 11 years and from six different schools supported by Variety, were able to visit the Magic Ice Kingdom, enjoy the fun of the Circus and ride the Giant Wheel whilst exploring the winter themed village in London's Hyde Park. Sue Hincks, Head of Programmes at Variety, said: "So many children are denied opportunities to take part in both the everyday and special activities that others take for granted, and with support from companies such as London Square Variety, is giving children who are challenged by disability or disadvantage the chance to experience 'great days out'. Thank you, London Square." Brian Betsy, Managing Director, London Square, said: “It was so rewarding to see the children having such a brilliant time at Winter Wonderland. Everyone from London Square felt really proud to be supporting such a memorable day out and we are very grateful to Variety for having organised it.”
