Award-winning developer London Square recently hosted a breakfast for RBS graduates and employees looking to steer towards a career real estate finance, at its latest development in the heart of Spitalfields, E1. The morning comprised a mixture of presentations and informal networking, from the sales and marketing suite on site. Kieran O’Malley, Assistant Director - Real Estate Finance at RBS, introduced the morning, before handing over to Alistair Harris, sales manager for London Square Spitalfields, who gave a presentation on London Square, highlighting the company’s history and impressive growth story, structure and an overview of current projects. These range from new build apartment complexes to the magnificent restoration of the Grade II listed Star and Garter on Richmond Hill. Mark Pope, Director - Real Estate Finance at RBS, followed this with a discussion on the relationship between London Square and RBS - which has been a key supporter of the business since its inception in 2010. Alistair concluded with a more detailed talk on London Square Spitalfields itself – a collection of 49 contemporary one, two and three bedroom apartments on iconic Commercial Street, close to the city’s trendiest bars, restaurants and galleries. Designed by award-winning architectural practice, Platform 5 Architects, when complete London Square Spitalfields will comprise three blocks of private apartments, set around the newly landscaped Mallon Gardens and Grade II listed Toynbee Hall. The development complements the architecture of historically rich Spitalfields – with the Gherkin and the sleek glass towers of the City providing a dramatic backdrop.
