On Saturday 7 November, London Square invites all young book worms to London Square Teddington for a book reading with much-loved author and illustrator Sue Hendra. Best-known for books such as Barry the Fish with Fingers and Norman the Slug with a Silly Shell, Sue’s latest story, co-written with partner Paul Linnet, is to be one of the official 2016 World Book Day books. The event, which will run from 2-4pm, is a chance for children to listen to some of their favourite stories from the person who knows the tales the best, the author. Activity sheets, designed by Sue herself, will also be on offer between the readings, with families encouraged to come along at any point during the session. Sue’s books are written with 3-5 year olds in mind but nonetheless are sure to entertain parents and grandparents alike, with witty storylines and engaging characters. Rebecca Littler, Sales and Marketing Director of London Square, said:
“The showhome at London Square Teddington has been designed to reflect the patterns of family living and so we are delighted to be putting on an event with children in mind. We look forward to welcoming people to join us to hear some of Sue’s wonderful stories.”
Sue Hendra, said:
“The inspiration for my books comes from a mixture of fun and silliness. I also enjoy looking at nature and trying to steal great colour combinations that I can put in my pictures. As a big kid at heart, I love to share my stories and illustrations with children and I am looking forward to the fun we will have at London Square Teddington.”
