On Tuesday 20 September, 30 nine to eleven year old pupils from Riverbridge Primary School came to London Square Staines upon Thames to participate in a building site health and safety session.
After receiving a health and safety induction, with a special visit from construction industry mascot, Ivor Goodsite, the children donned high visibility jackets, gloves and hard hats and were given the opportunity to build a brick wall. The visit also marked the launch of an art competition, with the pupils all invited to submit a piece of artwork on the theme ‘What I love about Staines-upon-Thames’.
