Twickenham named one of the best places to live in London 2025

24 Mar 25

Twickenham has, this weekend, been ranked number 5 in top places to live in London in the Sunday Times Best Places To Live guide.

The Times emphasised "this tree-lined Thames-side suburb" as ticking all the boxes for the aspirational families with excellent schools and fast connections to central London.

Town Centre

Twickenham's highlights included pedestrianised Church Street, picked out for it's abundance of independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a bustling Saturday farmers' market and high end supermarket Waitrose.

Independent shops mentioned include Eel Pie Records for vintage vinyls and the high-end florist, The Bloomery. For highly regarded Italians, Masanielo or Osteria Pulcinella are given a mention.

Green Spaces

The Times emphasises the easy access to a wealth of green in Twickenham. From it's leafy streets dotted with green spaces and easy access to Richmond and Bushy Parks (home of the original Parkrun). This is, of course, without even mentioning that Twickenham is the home to England's rugby.

Excellent Connections
